Joseph Michael Straczynski is an award-winning American writer/producer of television series, novels, short stories, comic books, and radio dramas, and is perhaps best known as the creator, executive producer and head writer of Babylon 5. His comics wrtiting has garnered much praise and attention, particualarly for his lengthy tenure on Amazing Spiderman, and his original creations Rising Stars and Supreme Power.
